  1.  38:1  And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
  2.  38:2  Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog,
  3. the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against
  4. him,
  5.  38:3  And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I [am] against
  6. thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal:
  7.  38:4  And I will turn thee back, and put hooks into thy jaws,
  8. and I will bring thee forth, and all thine army, horses and
  9. horsemen, all of them clothed with all sorts [of armour, even]
  10. a great company [with] bucklers and shields, all of them
  11. handling swords:
  12.  38:5  Persia, Ethiopia, and Libya with them; all of them with
  13. shield and helmet:
  14.  38:6  Gomer, and all his bands; the house of Togarmah of the
  15. north quarters, and all his bands: [and] many people with thee.
  16.  38:7  Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou, and all
  17. thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard
  18. unto them.
  19.  38:8  After many days thou shalt be visited: in the latter
  20. years thou shalt come into the land [that is] brought back from
  21. the sword, [and is] gathered out of many people, against the
  22. mountains of Israel, which have been always waste: but it is
  23. brought forth out of the nations, and they shall dwell safely
  24. all of them.
  25.  38:9  Thou shalt ascend and come like a storm, thou shalt be
  26. like a cloud to cover the land, thou, and all thy bands, and
  27. many people with thee.
  28.  38:10  Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass,
  29. [that] at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and
  30. thou shalt think an evil thought:
  31.  38:11  And thou shalt say, I will go up to the land of
  32. unwalled villages; I will go to them that are at rest, that
  33. dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having
  34. neither bars nor gates,
  35.  38:12  To take a spoil, and to take a prey; to turn thine hand
  36. upon the desolate places [that are now] inhabited, and upon the
  37. people [that are] gathered out of the nations, which have
  38. gotten cattle and goods, that dwell in the midst of the land.
  39.  38:13  Sheba, and Dedan, and the merchants of Tarshish, with
  40. all the young lions thereof, shall say unto thee, Art thou come
  41. to take a spoil? hast thou gathered thy company to take a prey?
  42. to carry away silver and gold, to take away cattle and goods,
  43. to take a great spoil?
  44.  38:14  Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say unto Gog, Thus
  45. saith the Lord GOD; In that day when my people of Israel
  46. dwelleth safely, shalt thou not know [it]?
  47.  38:15  And thou shalt come from thy place out of the north
  48. parts, thou, and many people with thee, all of them riding upon
  49. horses, a great company, and a mighty army:
  50.  38:16  And thou shalt come up against my people of Israel, as
  51. a cloud to cover the land; it shall be in the latter days, and
  52. I will bring thee against my land, that the heathen may know
  53. me, when I shall be sanctified in thee, O Gog, before their
  54. eyes.
  55.  38:17  Thus saith the Lord GOD; [Art] thou he of whom I have
  56. spoken in old time by my servants the prophets of Israel, which
  57. prophesied in those days [many] years that I would bring thee
  58. against them?
  59.  38:18  And it shall come to pass at the same time when Gog
  60. shall come against the land of Israel, saith the Lord GOD,
  61. [that] my fury shall come up in my face.
  62.  38:19  For in my jealousy [and] in the fire of my wrath have I
  63. spoken, Surely in that day there shall be a great shaking in
  64. the land of Israel;
  65.  38:20  So that the fishes of the sea, and the fowls of the
  66. heaven, and the beasts of the field, and all creeping things
  67. that creep upon the earth, and all the men that [are] upon the
  68. face of the earth, shall shake at my presence, and the
  69. mountains shall be thrown down, and the steep places shall
  70. fall, and every wall shall fall to the ground.
  71.  38:21  And I will call for a sword against him throughout all
  72. my mountains, saith the Lord GOD: every man's sword shall be
  73. against his brother.
  74.  38:22  And I will plead against him with pestilence and with
  75. blood; and I will rain upon him, and upon his bands, and upon
  76. the many people that [are] with him, an overflowing rain, and
  77. great hailstones, fire, and brimstone.
  78.  38:23  Thus will I magnify myself, and sanctify myself; and I
  79. will be known in the eyes of many nations, and they shall know
  80. that I [am] the LORD.
